About Author

When I was 18, I was given an old Minolta film camera, and photography quickly became a favorite hobby. As our family grew, I loved taking pictures of our three daughters, and now of all our grandchildren- We often look back on those images, remembering how small they all were.

God's grace in one tiny face
Message me for more info and to book!

I’ve always believed family is one of God’s greate I’ve always believed family is one of God’s greatest gifts.

As the oldest of five daughters, I grew up surrounded by connection, noise, laughter, and love—and we’re still incredibly close. Now, watching our three daughters form that same kind of bond is something I cherish more than I can put into words.

When my dad gave me my first camera as a teenager, I started capturing everything… family, friends, all the moments that felt meaningful. I didn’t realize then that what I really loved was the connection behind it all.

That’s what still draws me in today.

Because the love we experience within our own homes is just a glimpse of the Father’s love for us—deep, steady, and intentional.

It’s never just about the photo for me. It’s about capturing that connection… the kind that tells your story without needing words.

And it’s an honor every single time. 🤍

If you're about to meet your baby soon, I hope you'll save this and come back to it on the days you need a reminder.

Motherhood is beautiful, but it can also feel overwhelming in the beginning. You’re learning, your baby is learning, and neither of you are expected to do it perfectly.

Give yourself grace. Rest when you can. Ask for help when you need it.

Those first days with your baby pass more quickly than you realize. Soak it in, all of it. 🤍

Some stories are held with both hands—joy in one, Some stories are held with both hands—joy in one, grief in the other. Stories like this remind me: we never truly know what a family has walked through to get here… but when you pause long enough, you may see love that extends beyond what can be seen.

Loved, Held, Remembered- A Mother's story

I had never heard of secondary infertility. When I got pregnant with our daughter, I thought we were one of the lucky ones. I imagined a house full of kids close in age. I didn’t know she was our first miracle — and that it would take four years, countless procedures, and unimaginable grief to grow our family again.

After a year of trying for a second, we turned to a fertility clinic. There were surgeries, failed IUIs, and eventually the news that IVF was our only option. Our first IVF round gave us nine embryos — but by day six, only one remained. Months later, we learned the solution used to grow our embryos had been recalled. It was magnesium-deficient and toxic. Most of our embryos never had a chance. The grief and betrayal were crushing.

We moved forward with a second IVF cycle that resulted in two healthy embryos. Our first transfer worked. We were overjoyed to be expecting a baby boy. But at 21 weeks, we lost our sweet Adrian. The ache of leaving the hospital without him is something I still carry every day.

With one embryo left and time feeling fragile, we chose to try again. That pregnancy was filled with fear, grief, and guarded hope. I didn’t announce until 28 weeks; but, he made it. Born two months early, our second miracle arrived — healthy, strong, and everything we hoped for.

After his birth, we learned my body had attacked the placenta (Villitis of Unknown Etiology), meaning another pregnancy would likely end in trauma. So, our journey ends here. Nothing will ever replace the child we lost, but I’m learning that joy and grief can coexist. And today, I am overwhelmingly grateful to be the mother of one amazing girl and two beautiful boys — one in my arms and one in my heart.

One of those sessions where everything just felt calm… soft… unhurried. Mom couldn’t stop smiling, just soaking her in, and you could feel how much love filled the room.

The photos may look effortless, but there's much more going on before and after your session. It's safe to say there is no shortage of laundry, vacuuming, editing, and thoughtful preparation.. so when you arrive, you can simply settle in and breathe.
If you asked me to choose a favorite image I’ve ta If you asked me to choose a favorite image I’ve taken… I just can’t.

But I will say—when I’m able to capture a moment like this, it makes my heart stop.

There’s something sacred about freezing a feeling in time. A quiet reminder that even the smallest moments hold so much meaning. It’s never just about the image—it’s about the connection, the story, the glimpse of God’s goodness woven into it all.

Moments like these feel like a gift—little glimpses of grace that I’m honored to witness and preserve. 🤍

I’ve been thinking a lot about gentle parenting vs I’ve been thinking a lot about gentle parenting vs. traditional parenting—and how faith fits into both.

Navigating the parenting spectrum can feel like walking a tightrope between what we were taught and what we’re learning now. Somewhere between structure and grace, discipline and compassion, we’re raising little hearts to know not just what is right—but why it matters.

For me, faith has become the anchor in that balance. It reminds me that while I won’t parent perfectly, I can parent with purpose. That love can be both gentle and guiding. That boundaries can be set with kindness. And that even in the mess, there is room for growth—for them and for me.

I love the idea of blending both styles—leading with love, while still teaching responsibility. Giving our kids space to explore, make mistakes, and learn… while reminding them they are deeply known, deeply loved, and never alone.

So much of parenting, for me, has become about extending the same grace to my children that God extends to me daily. Choosing patience when it’s hard. Choosing connection over control. And trusting that even when I feel unsure, I’m being guided in ways I don’t always see.

To new moms: embrace the chaos, lean into your instincts, and don’t be afraid to pray through the hard moments. You were chosen for your child for a reason. There is no perfect formula—just faithful presence.

I’m genuinely curious—what’s been your experience?
Were you raised traditionally?
Are you practicing gentle parenting now?
Have you found a middle ground rooted in faith?

Would love to hear your thoughts 🤍

This is something people don’t really talk about… This is something people don’t really talk about…

You booked your *dream* newborn photographer months ago.
You felt incredibly excited and prepared.

.

Then your precious baby arrives - those first couple of weeks fly by! Your photo date is almost here and suddenly…you feel anxious.. or worse, you're actually dreading it altogether. Your entire world just shifted in every way imaginable.

.

You’re healing.
You’re barely sleeping.
You’re learning your baby. Your body (and life) feels different.
Your emotions feel different, too!

.

Even the things you once looked forward to can suddenly feel overwhelming.

“What if my baby cries the whole time?”
“What if I look exhausted?”
“What if I can’t get it together that morning?”
“What if we’re late?”
“What if it’s just too much?”

.

Please know, these feelings are totally normal, and more common than you might think. Every new mom feels some version of this. That’s exactly why newborn sessions are designed to be slow, flexible, and baby-led. You don’t need to be “put together” - you just have to show up.. and it's my job to take care of the rest.

One of the most common questions I hear is:
“When should I book my newborn photography session?”

These early days pass in a blur. Your photographs allow you to hold onto them forever.

Anyone who has ever brought young children to a ph Anyone who has ever brought young children to a photo session knows… sometimes it feels a little chaotic.
The session might feel like it’s going nowhere.

A 2-year-old might refuse to join the picture.
A 3-year-old might insist on posing their own way (and not the way you hoped).
A 4-year-old might be pouting.

And honestly? That is completely normal. That is real life with young children. And it’s all part of photographing siblings.
What I’m watching for during all of this isn’t perfect posing — it’s connection.
The way they reach for each other. The way they lean in without thinking. The quick giggle. The protective arm. The moment they forget the camera is even there.

There is always a moment. And when it comes, I will see it and capture it — often when you (and especially they) don’t even realize it’s happening.
I promise you this: even if the session feels messy or unpredictable, I can create an image that shows the deep, real connection between your children — the one you see every day and never want to forget.

Because sibling love isn’t perfect. It’s real. And that’s what you’ll love most when you see your images.

If you’re looking for an experienced photographer who patiently waits for the perfect moment, I’d love to connect with you. You can find scheduling details at www.momentsofyou.com.
