Moro Reflex Pt 3 - Swaddling! Ever wonder why swa Moro Reflex Pt 3 - Swaddling!

Ever wonder why swaddling works so well? The answer goes back to before they were even born.
Nine months in the womb means babies arrive already knowing what it feels like to be held close. Swaddling replicates that pressure and helps quiet their nervous system — which is exactly why we use it in newborn sessions and why it works so well at home too.
Save this one for the new mom in your life. 👇

"Behind the Wrap" — a real look at what happens on "Behind the Wrap" — a real look at what happens on the other side of the camera.

People assume newborn wrapping is just... wrapping fabric around a baby. It's so much more. It's reading a baby's body language, knowing when to slow down, when to pause and let a parent soothe, when the wrap is too snug or not snug enough.

It's patience. It's a lot of patience. Every 'effortless' photo you see took a dozen quiet adjustments you never saw.

One day, they'll outgrow your arms... The tiny fin One day, they'll outgrow your arms...
The tiny fingers wrapped around yours.
The sleepy stretches.
The little sighs as they settle into your chest.

Right now, these moments can feel ordinary. Exhausting, even.
But one day, they'll be the memories you wish you could hold onto just a little longer.
That's why newborn photography isn't just about beautiful images.

It's about preserving a season that changes far too quickly.
They're only this little once.

"How do you actually get toddlers to cooperate?" C "How do you actually get toddlers to cooperate?"
Caption: Ask Regina: "How do you actually get toddlers to cooperate during a session?"
Short answer: I don't try to make them cooperate. I try to make them curious.
Toddlers can smell "please just sit still and smile" from a mile away — so instead, I follow their lead. I ask about their favorite dinosaur. I let them push a button on my camera. I chase bubbles, make ridiculous sounds, and let them run off some energy before we ever try a posed shot.
Some of my favorite images from family sessions aren't the ones where everyone's looking at the camera — they're the ones where a toddler is mid-giggle because I said something silly, and their parents' faces are lit up watching them.
Cooperation isn't the goal. Connection is. The rest follows.
Photo idea: candid toddler mid-laugh or mid-motion during a family session, parents watching and smiling.

I never expected photography to feel as equally me I never expected photography to feel as equally meaningful to me as pediatric physical therapy. But the truth is, it always has been..

Over the years, I walked alongside some of the bravest families I've ever known — parents of medically fragile children who were running out of time. I kept asking myself: how can I keep helping them?

The camera became the answer.

Photography preserved what words couldn't — the way a mother looked at her child, the way tiny fingers curled around a father's hand, the quiet love that filled a room during moments families knew wouldn't last forever.

I realized then that photography was another form of therapy. Not the kind that heals bodies — but the kind that preserves love, connection, and memory. Something tangible to hold onto forever.

Newborn and family photography are no different. The purpose has always been the same.

There are very few gifts more meaningful than remembering how deeply you were loved.

If you're expecting and looking for a photographer who understands that, I'd be honored to capture this season for your family.

When you're in the middle of raising children, eve When you're in the middle of raising children, everyone tells you, "It goes so fast."

You hear the words... but it's almost impossible to understand them while you're living in the sleepless nights, endless laundry, snack requests, and busy days.

Then one day, your baby isn't a baby anymore.

And if you're fortunate, you get to experience the wonder of those moments again through the eyes of a grandchild.

That's where I am now. 🤍

Every time I hold these little hands, hear those giggles, or watch their personalities unfold, I'm reminded how quickly childhood passes. Not because it isn't full—but because it's filled with ordinary moments that quietly become the ones we treasure most.

Becoming a grandmother has given me an even deeper appreciation for the work I do as a photographer.

Because photographs aren't just about what your family looks like today. They're about remembering how it felt—the tiny fingers wrapped around yours, the way your baby fit perfectly in your arms, the laughter, the connection, and the love that filled this season.

Those are the moments I hope every family I photograph can hold onto for years to come.

Because the little moments aren't little at all.

Is there a detail you never want to forget?

One year of wonder, giggles, and a little bit of c One year of wonder, giggles, and a little bit of cake chaos 🤍🎂

Cake smash sessions are truly one of my favorite things to photograph because they capture the personality of your little one at such a fun and fleeting stage. The curiosity, the laughter, the messy little hands, and those unforgettable expressions are moments you will want to remember forever.

This sweet little guy brought so much personality to his **“Where the Wild Things Are” inspired cake smash session** — from his adorable serious looks to his big smiles, silly moments, and the pure joy of discovering cake for the very first time. Adding his big sister made the session even more special, capturing the love, connection, and playful bond between siblings.

I love creating milestone sessions that go beyond a simple birthday portrait. Each session is designed to celebrate who your child is right now — their unique personality, their relationships, and the little details that change so quickly.

Serving families throughout Medina County, Brunswick, Strongsville, and the Cleveland area I specialize in newborn, milestone, cake smash, and family photography with a focus on timeless, heartfelt images your family will treasure for years to come.

✨ Because childhood is messy, magical, and beautifully wild. ✨

A little “get to know me” post! 😊 Here are 3 fun A little “get to know me” post! 😊

Here are 3 fun facts about me that many people may not know:

🏝️ Every other year, I lead a mission trip to St. Kitts and Nevis with our church, St. Mark Lutheran in Brunswick. This year, one of our projects is helping build a playground at a local school so children have a safe place to play and learn.

🏐 When I was a senior at the University of California, Riverside, I was part of the volleyball team that won the NCAA Division II National Championship!

🌱 I love gardening, and our family has 17 chickens. If you visit my studio for a photo session, don’t be surprised if you hear our rooster crowing in the background—it adds a little country charm to the experience! 🐓

Every season of life looks a little different. Th Every season of life looks a little different.

The season of late nights and first steps. School plays and soccer games and sending them off into the world wondering if you did enough.. And then, when you least expect it, a whole new season begins.

Grandparenthood is something I couldn't have fully understood until I was standing right in the middle of it. It's different from parenting in every way. A little slower. A little softer. And somehow, even more sweet.

I get to watch my children become parents. I get to see the same love I once felt for them reflected back in the way they look at their own babies. There are honestly no words for that. We don't take a single day of this for granted. This family, every chaotic and loud and beautiful person in it, is a gift straight from God. One I am more grateful for than I know how to say.

Finding joy in every season isn't always easy. But when I look around at the people surrounding me, it really is the easiest thing in the world.

Welcome to the world, sweet little guy. 💙 Some ne Welcome to the world, sweet little guy. 💙

Some newborn sessions are extra memorable, and this one had me smiling from beginning to end. This precious little boy gave us the sweetest sleepy smiles—those tiny expressions that only last for a season and make newborn photography so beautiful.

One of my favorite parts of every session is capturing the little details that parents never want to forget. The soft curve of his cheeks, his tiny button nose, delicate eyelashes, perfectly formed lips, and those impossibly tiny fingers that fit so perfectly in Mom and Dad's hands. Every little feature tells the story of these first precious days.

And those adorable baby back rolls? Absolute perfection! Those sweet little folds, tiny toes, and curled fingers are reminders of just how quickly babies change. Before long, those squishy newborn features will be replaced by toddler adventures, making these images even more meaningful with time.

This handsome little boy is the newest addition to a beautiful family, officially making them a family of four.✨ Stay tuned because I can't wait to share their sibling portraits!

Congratulations to this wonderful family, and thank you for allowing me to preserve these memories you'll cherish for generations. It is truly an honor to document the beginning of your family's newest chapter.

Summer with a newborn comes with a few extra thing Summer with a newborn comes with a few extra things to think about.. and a few of these may not be on your list!
Here are three simple items that can help keep your little one more comfortable during the warmer months ⬇️

- A lightweight muslin swaddle or blanket for breathable coverage and shade.

- A car seat cover to help reduce heat buildup while your car seat isn’t in use. (Always remove it before driving and check buckles and straps before buckling baby in.)

- A portable stroller fan to improve airflow during walks and outdoor outings.
.

Remember, babies under 6 months should be kept out of direct sunlight whenever possible, and it’s always a good idea to watch for signs of overheating like flushed skin, unusual fussiness, or lethargy. As a newborn photographer, baby safety is always my top priority, whether we’re in the studio or talking about everyday life with your little one!
