God's grace in one tiny face💗

Last week, I shared a few of our family portraits Last week, I shared a few of our family portraits from last year. Looking at them reminded me just how much can change in a single year.

And now, here we are with a brand-new family portrait.

Every time we update our family photos, I'm amazed at the little things I notice. A daughter who suddenly looks more grown-up. New relationships and inside jokes. The subtle ways our family story continues to unfold.

As a photographer, I spend so much time documenting other families that it's easy to put off being photographed myself. But I firmly believe that the people who are always taking the pictures deserve to be in them, too.

My phone is filled with thousands of images of our family. The everyday moments matter, and I'm grateful for every one of them. But there is something special about intentionally setting aside time to create portraits that include everyone.

There is no cropped-out parent behind the camera. No missing family member. Just all of us together.

Is it always easy? Not even close.

There are schedules to coordinate, outfits to choose, and plenty of discussions about what to wear. But those temporary inconveniences fade quickly, while the photographs become more valuable with each passing year.

When I look at this portrait, I don't just see how much everyone has grown. I see the blessing of another year together. Another year of watching our children build their own lives, strengthen their relationships, and create memories we'll cherish forever.

One day, this photograph will tell a story that words cannot. It will remind us of this season, these faces, these connections, and the incredible gift of family.

That's why I continue to invest in professional portraits year after year.

Not because I need more pictures.

Because I never want to forget these moments of us. ❤️

There is something incredibly special about watchi There is something incredibly special about watching the man you love become a father.

Rick and I have shared many seasons of life together, but one of my favorites has been watching him grow into the dad our daughters know and love. From the sleepless nights and bedtime stories to the piggyback rides, life lessons, and reassuring hugs, he has always been there.

Fatherhood isn't built in grand gestures. It's built in the everyday moments. The rides to activities (so many activities!), the conversations around the dinner table, the encouragement after disappointment, the laughter during family vacations, and the countless ways a father quietly shows up day after day.
As Father's Day approaches, I'm reminded that some As Father's Day approaches, I'm reminded that some of the most meaningful images from a newborn session are the ones that include Dad.

Tiny fingers wrapped around his thumb. A newborn sleeping peacefully on his chest. The way he looks at his baby with equal parts wonder, pride, and unconditional love.

In those early days, so much attention is focused on the baby—and rightfully so. But the beginning of a father's story is unfolding too.

Those moments may feel ordinary now, but one day they will be priceless.

Your baby will never be this small again.

The way they fit perfectly in Dad's arms, the tiny stretches, the sleepy snuggles, and the overwhelming love of those first few weeks pass far too quickly.

Years from now, these photographs won't just show what Dad looked like. They will tell the story of how deeply he loved from the very beginning.

So this Father's Day, here's a gentle reminder for all the dads: step into the frame.

Your children won't care whether you were tired, whether your hair was perfect, or whether you felt camera-ready.

They will treasure the fact that you were there.

Because one day, a photograph of Dad holding them when they were brand new may become one of their most cherished possessions.

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who love, protect, guide, and cherish their children every day. ❤️

As a photographer, I understand the value of famil As a photographer, I understand the value of family portraits.

As a wife, mom, and grandma, I understand something even more important—I know how quickly families change.

Every year, I encourage families to invest in professional photography, and I make sure to do the same for my own family. Is it easy getting everyone coordinated, dressed, and in one place? Not always. But every single year, it is worth it.

The truth is that photographs become more valuable with time. They preserve the faces, relationships, and connections that are constantly evolving. The little ones grow taller. Teenagers become adults. Parents become grandparents. New family members join the story.

For the past three years, we have hired a professional to document our family during our annual family gathering. She has beautifully captured our growing family, our rambunctious children, and all the love and chaos that comes with gathering multiple generations together.

When I look at those images, I don't see perfectly posed portraits. I see our story. I see the people I love most. I see memories that can never be recreated exactly the same way again.

If you've been putting off family portraits because life feels busy or coordinating everyone seems overwhelming, consider this your reminder: there is no perfect time.

Your family is worthy of being documented exactly as you are today.

The effort lasts a day.

The photographs last a lifetime.

Tiny fingers wrapped around yours. Delicate eyelas Tiny fingers wrapped around yours. Delicate eyelashes resting against soft cheeks. Perfect little lips. Curly newborn hair. Wrinkly toes that fit in the palm of your hand.

While we all love the beautiful portraits of a sleeping newborn, some of the most treasured images from a newborn session are the detail shots.

These tiny features change so quickly. Before you know it, those curled-up toes are taking first steps, those little hands are reaching for yours, and that newborn face has grown into the face you know so well.

Detail photographs preserve the fleeting pieces of your baby's story—the things you never want to forget but know will change far too soon.

Years from now, when your baby is no longer a baby, these images will transport you back to those early days. You'll remember just how tiny they were, how perfectly they fit in your arms, and how quickly the season passed.

Because one day, you'll realize that the details you saw every day were actually some of the most beautiful memories of all.

Preserving the moments of you, one tiny detail at a time.

Not every baby sleeps through their session — and Not every baby sleeps through their session — and honestly, some of my favorite images come from the ones who don’t. 🤍

The wide, curious eyes taking in a brand new world.
The tiny furrowed brow.
The unexpected stretch.
The pouty lips.
The little cries that lead to being wrapped safely in mom or dad’s arms.

Sleepy moments are beautiful, of course… but awake moments, stretchy moments, and even fussy moments tell part of the story too.

Because newborns are not meant to perform.
They are meant to be loved, comforted, held, and remembered exactly as they are in this fleeting season of life.

Beautiful looks a little different every single time.
And that is exactly what I love most about this work. ✨
Our annual family week is right around the corner, Our annual family week is right around the corner, and I genuinely cannot wait. 🤍

Every year, this time together becomes one of the highlights of our summer — slow mornings, loud laughter, backyard games, swimming, bonfires, late-night conversations, and countless little moments in between that somehow become lifelong memories.

Looking back through these candid images from previous years reminds me how quickly time moves… and how grateful I am that we continue making space to simply be together.

These are the moments our children will remember someday.
Not the perfectly planned ones — but the joyful, ordinary moments shared with the people who love them most.

Counting down the days until we’re all together again. ☀️
One thing many people don’t realize about newborn One thing many people don’t realize about newborn photography is how important safety is behind the scenes. 🤍

Beautiful newborn images should never come at the expense of a baby’s comfort or safety, which is why having a spotter during sessions is so incredibly important.

In my case, I am beyond blessed to have my daughter beside me during many sessions. She not only loves children deeply, but she also brings her expertise as a pediatric occupational therapist into every moment.

Whether gentle hands are needed to safely support a baby in a pose, a careful eye is watching tiny movements and cues, or a busy toddler needs playful redirection during family portraits… she does it all with patience, warmth, and so much love.

Honestly, parents often see the finished image — but behind that image is teamwork, preparation, training, and a shared commitment to creating a safe and joyful experience for every family who walks through my doors.

And as a mom myself, there is something especially meaningful about getting to do this work alongside my daughter. 🤍

There’s something so special about being invited i There’s something so special about being invited into those first few days at home with a newborn 🤍

This lifestyle newborn session was completely unscripted — slow, natural, and centered around simply documenting a real “day in the life” with this new little love. No stiff posing, no pressure to make things look perfect. Just the beauty of home exactly as this season feels right now.

It was obvious from the moment I walked in that this baby already had everyone completely wrapped around their finger — every tiny sound, every stretch, every sleepy expression became the most important thing in the room.

What I loved most about this session was how effortlessly everyone settled into the moment. The quiet cuddles on the couch, feeding breaks, tiny details, and in-between moments are always the memories that end up meaning the most. And capturing these moments at home — in the nursery they carefully put together, the living room where they’re soaking in these first days, the spaces that already hold so much meaning — makes the gallery feel that much more personal and nostalgic years from now.

Those first days home are blurry and beautiful all at once, and preserving them in an honest way will always be my favorite.

Summer availability is officially open, and I’d love to document this season for you too ☀️
Behind every flag, every medal, and every folded u Behind every flag, every medal, and every folded uniform.. there is a family. And while we celebrate the holiday with friends and family - we won't forget the gravity of the price paid by many.

My dad served in the Air Force for 20 years as a Colonel, dentist, and officer — dedicating his life to his country with honor and integrity. Rick's father served in the Korean War and earned the Army Commendation Medal for carrying a wounded soldier back from the front line. His bravery brought a man home to his family. Both men served courageously. Both became the foundation of ours. I've included some photos from their time in service.

Today we pause to remember the brave servicemen and women whose sacrifices made our freedoms possible.. and wrap our arms around the families who grieve loved ones who never returned home. Thank you will never be enough. 🇺🇸

Things no one really prepares you for in that firs Things no one really prepares you for in that first week home with your newborn…

The silence at 3am somehow feels louder than ever
You’ll learn every little sound they make before you even notice you have
The love doesn’t arrive the way you imagined — it arrives deeper
You’ll question yourself a hundred times a day. And still, you’re doing better than you think

It's been a while since I've formally introduced m It's been a while since I've formally introduced myself, and with some new faces here, it felt like the right time. 🤍

I'm Regina, a newborn and family photographer based in Northeast Ohio. I'm also a board-certified Doctor of Physical Therapy who spent my career working in pediatrics. That combination might sound unexpected, but it's really at the heart of everything I do. Whether I was helping a child take their first steps or photographing a family in those very first days, both paths have always led me to the same place — caring for God's greatest gift to us - children, and family.

Outside the studio, I'm a wife, a mom, and a grandma to a wonderfully full family of littles who have affectionately named our home "Camp Thompson." Family is everything to us, and that's exactly why I understand what it means to want these moments captured well.

If you're expecting or recently welcomed a new baby, I'd love to connect. My sessions are designed to be calm, safe, and stress-free.. because you have enough to think about already.

One of the most important things I’ve learned is t One of the most important things I’ve learned is that growth should never stop — no matter how many years you’ve been doing something.

Experience matters, but there is always something new to learn, a different perspective to hear, or a small detail that can make a meaningful impact. Attending this workshop reminded me that the little things we pick up along the way often become the things that elevate not only our work, but also the experience we create for the families we serve.

Sometimes it’s a new technique. Sometimes it’s a better way to communicate, guide, or connect. And sometimes it’s simply being reminded why we care so deeply about what we do.

Continuing to learn keeps us inspired, intentional, and always striving to give families the very best of ourselves. I’m grateful for every opportunity to grow — both professionally and personally — because those lessons always find their way back into the work.
